What I offer
I provide short-term and long-term couples and individual therapy, depending on each client's needs and goals. My therapeutic approach draws on psychoanalytic, existential, and humanistic perspectives, enabling a flexible and depth-oriented way of working tailored to each individual.
About Me
I am a psychotherapist and counsellor based in Edinburgh, offering therapy for individuals seeking support with anxiety, emotional distress, depression, relationship difficulties and long-standing patterns that affect their wellbeing.

Professional Background
I am a Certified Transactional Analyst Psychotherapist, a Provisional Teaching and Supervising Transactional Analyst and an Accredited Couples Counsellor with Relationships Scotland. I am also COSCA registered. I work with adults in private practice in Edinburgh, offering both in-person and online sessions.
Here are some of the key assumptions that inform my practice as a psychotherapist.
-
People are motivated by what they are aware of in themselves, and as importantly, by what they are not aware of, or can’t know.

-
Problems with important people in one’s past are repeated in present relationships, most often without knowing that this is occurring.

-
The relationship with the psychotherapist is the key to working through emotional and relational difficulties.

-
Development never stops and continues from infancy, through childhood, adolescence, adulthood and old age.

-
We are continually informed by our history, our current state, and our environment, and the lines between these sources of our experience remain forever indeterminate.

-
An unrelenting respect for the complexity of human experiencing and personal individuality.
